ART-POINT ’22
The Austrian label art point was originally founded in Moscow by designer Lena Kvadrat. Since 2001, two collections have been produced each year, which are sold in the company’s own mono-brand concept store in Vienna and distributed worldwide via international trade fairs and retail partners in Europe, Asia, and North America.
Within an urban civilization, fashion, for Lena Kvadrat, is as fundamental a means of communication as, for example, mobile telephony. According to other sign systems, the language of fashion uses explicit and coded signals to reveal the social status or the cultural roots of the person wearing a particular garment. art point strives to decipher this symbolism and, if possible, to transform it.
